ACCA tuition
ACCA tuition, taught by a member of ACCA
Most ACCA tutors have passed the exams. Fewer have spent a decade applying the standards to accounts that somebody had to act on. That difference shows up in the questions that ask you to judge rather than to calculate, which is where the qualification gets hard.

Papers we teach
Six papers, chosen because they are the ones backed by real working experience rather than by a reading of the syllabus. Each has its own page setting out what the paper actually asks for and where candidates reliably lose marks.
Applied Knowledge
Applied Skills
AA Audit and Assurance
Planning, evidence and reporting, taught by someone who served their ACCA training in an audit practice.
FM Financial Management
Working capital, investment appraisal and financing: the decisions a finance function actually makes.
FR Financial Reporting
Applying IFRS to real transactions, preparing single and consolidated statements, and interpreting the result.
PM Performance Management
Costing and decision-making at a level that expects judgement rather than a method you can look up.
Why these papers and not all thirteen
Because the rest are not mine to teach. The ACCA Qualification runs to thirteen exams across Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills and Strategic Professional, and a tutor who claims all of them is telling you something about their marketing rather than their experience.
Taxation is the clearest example of what is missing. ACCA Taxation is sat as a jurisdiction-specific variant, and my tax background is Pakistani rather than UK. I could teach the principles and I would be the wrong person for TX-UK, so it is not listed. The Strategic Professional papers are absent for the same reason: I have not taught them, and the honest version of this page says so rather than filling the grid.
What the sessions are actually like
One to one, online, sixty minutes as standard. The first hour is free and it is a real lesson: bring a question you got wrong, or a topic that has not landed, and we work on that rather than on an introduction.
Most of what I do with ACCA students is not content delivery, because the content is in the study text and you can read. It is the layer the text does not teach: recognising which standard a scenario is testing, writing a procedure that is actually a procedure, turning a calculated variance into a conclusion somebody could act on. Those are the marks candidates lose, and they are trainable.
Studying while working
Most ACCA students have a job, and the realistic constraint is hours rather than ability. That changes what good advice looks like. It is usually better to sit one paper properly than two badly, and better to work in short frequent sessions than to plan a weekend you will not get. If your timetable makes a sitting unrealistic I will say so before you book, which is the same policy that applies everywhere else on this site.
Qualification structure checked against ACCA’s own published structure. We are not an ACCA Approved Learning Partner and do not claim to be. This is independent one-to-one tuition from a member of ACCA. For official study materials and exam entry, go to ACCA directly.
