Best for quick questions, scheduling, and finding out whether we cover a particular syllabus. Messages sent outside UK working hours get answered the following morning.
If you are writing about a specific student, including the syllabus code and year group in the first message saves a round trip.
Booking a trial class
If you already know you want to talk properly, skip the email and book the free 1-hour trial class directly. It is the same people at the other end, with twenty minutes set aside for you rather than a reply written between lessons.
Time zone
We are based in the United Kingdom and teach across the Gulf, the UK and the United States. Lessons are scheduled in local time for the student, wherever they are: UK time, UTC+4 in the UAE and Oman, UTC+3 elsewhere in the Gulf, and US Eastern through Pacific. Lessons run mostly on weekday evenings, with weekend slots before exam series.
What to include when you write
None of this is required, and a one-line message is perfectly welcome. But four details turn a first reply from a set of questions into an actual answer, so if you have them to hand:
- The subject and the level, and the exam board if you know it. “IGCSE Chemistry, Cambridge” is enough.
- The year group, because Year 10 and Year 11 are different problems even in the same subject.
- The syllabus code if you can find it, which is the four-digit number that decides which papers your child sits. Here is where to look.
- What you are actually seeing. A grade is a symptom. “She understands it at home and freezes in tests” tells us far more than a percentage does.
If there is a recent marked paper, that is the single most useful thing you can send. Not the report, the paper: the pattern in which marks were lost usually identifies the problem within a few minutes, and it is frequently not the problem the report names.
What happens after you get in touch
We reply, usually the same working day, and either answer your question or suggest a trial class if it is the sort of thing that needs a lesson rather than an answer. The trial class is twenty minutes, free, and has no booking attached to it: we will tell you what we think is going on and what we would do about it, including when we think the answer is not tutoring at all.
If it turns out we are a good fit, we then match a specialist to the subject and level and introduce them, and you meet them before any money changes hands. We do not name a tutor before one is assigned, because until the match is made that would be a promise rather than a fact. The full sequence is here.
What we will not ask you for
A home address, because we teach online only and have no reason to hold one. Payment details at enquiry stage, because there is nothing to pay for yet. Or a commitment on the trial class, which would defeat the point of offering it.
We keep what you send us for as long as the privacy policy says and no longer, and you can ask us to delete it at any point by replying to any message with that request.

Use the email address above and say what it is about in the subject line. We read everything; we reply to what is relevant.
Schools in particular: if something on one of our school pages is out of date or wrong, write and we will correct it. Those pages are built from each school's own published information and we are not affiliated with any of them, so we would rather hear from you than have a reader act on a stale detail.
