Syllabus guides
Cambridge syllabus guides
Cambridge International runs the IGCSE, O Level and AS & A Level qualifications taken by most British-curriculum schools in the Gulf. Its Computer Science and IT syllabuses are revised on a three-year cycle, and each revision changes what the papers ask for.
The syllabuses we teach
Each page below breaks a subject down component by component: what each paper is, how long it lasts, what it is worth, and what it actually assesses. Every figure is taken from the current published specification and linked back to its source.
Cambridge Computer Science
The programming-and-theory route: how machines represent and move data, plus writing and tracing algorithms by hand and at a keyboard. The exam tests a narrower, more precise skill than the one most keen programmers have been practising.

Cambridge ICT
The applied route: spreadsheets, databases, document production and web authoring to a professional standard, plus understanding how technology is used in organisations. Most of the grade is earned at a computer.

Why we publish this
Because the information is genuinely hard to find in a usable form. The official specifications are authoritative and long; most summaries of them online are short and out of date. Between those two is a gap where a parent trying to understand what their child is sitting has nowhere useful to look.
Everything here links to the awarding body’s own page and, where one is published, the specification PDF. If any figure on this site disagrees with the official document, the official document is right and we want to know about it.
