IB Business Management and Marketing tutors
IB Business Management is built around a set of named concepts and tools that examiners expect to see used explicitly, and the Internal Assessment rewards a genuinely researched organisation over a convenient one.

What IB Diploma actually demands
Six subjects plus Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. The workload is the defining feature, and the Internal Assessments, coursework worth a substantial share of each subject grade, are what most often slip.
Organisational behaviour, strategy, operations and marketing. Assessment is dominated by case analysis, where the mark is earned by using a framework to reach a defensible recommendation rather than by describing the framework.
Where IB Business Management and Marketing students lose marks
- Frameworks such as SWOT and Porter applied as checklists rather than as analytical tools
- Recommendations made without weighing cost, risk or feasibility for that specific organisation
- Marketing answers that describe the four Ps and never connect them to the target segment
- Group and presentation assessments approached without a clear division of analytical work
Is this the right subject at this level?
Undergraduates in business and management, and IB Business Management students working through the course concepts and Internal Assessment. It suits students who enjoy reasoning about real organisations under uncertainty, and who are willing to commit to a recommendation rather than surveying every option evenly.
What it costs
USD 30-36 per 60-minute one-to-one lesson at IB Diploma, the same rate in every city we teach in. Billed monthly against lessons actually taught, with no prepaid blocks and no minimum commitment.
Paired lessons (2 students) are USD 21-25 per student. Small group lessons (up to 6 students) are USD 15-18 per student. What each format is good for is here.
How we teach it
One-to-one, online, with a shared whiteboard. The first thing we establish is the exact syllabus the student is entered for: schools do not always publish the version they actually enter, and preparing for the wrong paper structure wastes a term.
After that the work is diagnostic: a past paper under timed conditions, marked together against the published scheme, to find out where the marks are genuinely going. That is almost always more useful than covering the syllabus again more slowly. The full process is here.
Business Management and Marketing: questions parents ask
How is IB Business Management different from A Level Business?
It is built around a named set of concepts and tools that examiners expect to see used explicitly, and it includes an Internal Assessment on a real organisation. The analytical frameworks are less optional than at A Level.
Why do good answers still score poorly?
Because frameworks are used as checklists. Listing SWOT headings earns very little; using the analysis to reach a recommendation that weighs cost, risk and feasibility for that specific organisation is what the marks are for.
How should the Internal Assessment organisation be chosen?
By how much real information is available, not by convenience or familiarity. An organisation with genuine accessible data supports a far stronger investigation than a well-known one you cannot research properly.
